Day 18 of #30daysofbiking-Making hay while the sun shines

After a rainy day yesterday, today was a perfect Spring day.  I've got a busy day planned, but tried to do errands by bike since it's still April and I'm still all in on #30daysofbiking.

I am in the process of doing battle with moss in a front lawn.  The moss had a strong head start, but I'm fighting back hard.  Today was the perfect day to give it a one-two punch of dolomite lime and iron sulfate.  I was planning on giving an additional shot of shade tolerant grass seed as well.

Some of my friends have cargo bikes, but they all reside more than 100 miles away.  I put my backpack on and made three separate trips to the garden center to pick up 20 lbs of iron sulfate, 25 lbs of lime, and 5 lbs of grass seed.

It amounted to 12 miles of riding total.  That's all the time I'm going to have for riding today as the rest of the day I'm playing landscape maintaineer, and long distance driver.

A nice day to ride!

  1. You should get a Burley Travoy trailer! I love the Burley Travoy review by Path Less Pedaled.
Of course you should also get a cargo bike. CARGO BIKES ARE THE BEST!
