The Birthday Girl |
It stayed dry for the first 15 miles. We even had a little bit of sunshine, though not much. A tailwind helped push us along, and dried the roads. We rode north to Madison Park then mindful of a predicted wet afternoon, turned around without much time wasted and pedaled back toward Renton. Our solidly social pace on the way northward with a tail wind turned a bit slower on the return.

We didn't quite make the full 53km, one of our members was struggling and we cut out a turn through Seward Park. We thought we might go back out late tonight for an additional 2.5 miles with lights, but alas, it is pouring rain, and as my mother likes to remind me, "you DON'T HAVE TO ride that bike". We didn't.
