A blustery day

There are always reasons to not want to ride, today's reason was "too wet, too windy".  I did however venture out to get some new batteries for my rain bike's rear blinky and one for it's speedometer.  It is never quite as bad out as it seems to be when sitting in the warm house looking out the window and seeing the rain fall, and hearing it hit the roof and windows.  Today was no exception.

As I pedaled out I thought "gee, this isn't so bad", and in about 5 minutes as I was on the cusp of dropping over the south edge of Queen Anne hill, a bald eagle drifted by, not more than 50 ft away from me. Yup, it turned out to be a pretty spectacular ride.

........and I got my batteries too!
