Misery loves company

 Unless the company is miserable.

Well, maybe miserable isn't the best term.  I never heard a complaint, I just didn't see too many smiles.
Proper winter gear makes all the difference between fun, and barely tolerable.

My friend and I had a few errands to run today and we thought it would be good to bike to them.  We started off in a steady rain.  The first stop was Costco, where we made our rounds of the folks hawking their products and offering samples.  My friend is still decked out with decorations on her helmet and picked  up a lot of comments and compliments. We picked up some of the swag being offered by Costco then headed back out to the rain.

The second stop was at the packet pickup for the Seattle Marathon.

We milled around the expo (demos and shopping opportunity)  then made our way back out to the rain again. We made our way to the waterfront then northward toward the Chittenden Locks.  When we reached the ship canal trail we took that east until we started up the easiest route toward the top of Queen Anne.

A mere 20 miles today, but it was enough.
