The streak ends

Well, we rode the planned route from CPR out and around Hagg Lake today. Up in dem dar hills it rained from time to time. We still had fun and it was an added bonus to be able to watch the Banana Belt races while there.

Those of us out for fun instead of racing had an easier time. ;-)

A great ride despite the rain. Dave has ridden with me several times, his improvement is amazing. I wish I were improving as quickly.

After the ride our entire Race Across Oregon team met up at CPR for a good discussion of the challenges we face. Two of our team raced today in the Banana Belt Races at Hagg Lake and both did very well. J. Michael Manning claimed 1st place for the second week in a row, and Cary Mallon took 7th in a very competitive field.

Laura, Dave, and I just rode bikes. ;-)

It was a good day to be on a bike!
