Our little social bike club, the Northwest Butts on Bikes, has a sister group based in Chino CA, known as the Butts on Bikes Inland Empire. AKA "BOBies". The organizers of that group have made their first trip to Oregon to ride the Petal Pedal tomorrow. We organized a short ride and social hour to welcome them to Oregon.
I had planned the 23 mile ride to be at a 13 mph average, doable by virtually everybody. We ended up riding a bit faster than that, but had enough stops that our clock time average was just a shade under 13 mph. Good enough!
It was a nice evening to ride. Good thing those Californians got to ride in sunshine and warm tonight, the forecast for the Petal Pedal tomorrow calls for rain.

A few of us are heading northward to ride up Mt St Helens on the "Tour de Blast". With rain coming in that might be an interesting ride.
