Another dry night.

I took a look at the weather forecast two days ago and noted that the recent dry weather was supposed to hold through the end of the week. I posted an invitation for folks to join me on a night ride of Portland's 40 mile loop trail. Eric and Phil joined me. Denise and a friend said they would join me too, but alas, were no shows.

I did not have time to remove the Christmas lights on my bike from last night's ride so I did the next best thing, I turned them on! I got quite a few positive comments from other cyclists, pedestrians, and passing vehicles. :-)

We made a brief stop at Cartlandia for a snack then pedaled on.

As we neared the Selwood Bridge Phil peeled off to ride home. As we neared the Morrison Bridge Eric peeled off to go to his vehicle. I continued on to the Steel Bridge to close my loop. Unlike last night when I had to stop by my pickup to get a bright light and reflective vest, tonight I already had that stuff. The weather was dry, I'm trying to get some miles before Christmas, I was warm and comfortable. I went for bonus miles! It seemed like 50 miles was a good number to shoot for, alas, it appears 58 might have been a better number. ;-)
