Day 17 of #ridingeverydayinNovember

Today is the 17th day of #ridingeverydayinNovember and I'm still in Seattle.  Today I rode from Gasworks Park to Golden Gardens. It wasn't a long ride, but will have to do for today.  It was a great day, a rarity in Seattle in November.  The photo almost looks like summer, but it was only in the high 40's.

I turned around and rode back to the Hiram Chittenden Locks.  The Corps of Engineers had drained the larger of the two locks for annual maintenance.  With the water emptied from the locks it was easier to appreciate the size of it.

I wandered over to the spillway.  With the large locks drained, and the recent rainfall, there was a lot of water being spilled to maintain the levels of Lake Washington and Lake Union.

It was a nice day for a ride.
