Family Holiday Light Ride

 I attended a ride with the group "Critical Lass" that was inviting all to decorate their bikes, wear some holiday attire, come ride a few miles, see a few brightly lit homes, and finish up with a hot drink.   Sounded like something right up my alley!

It was raining lightly, and the ride went out of it's way to say children were welcome.  I wasn't sure the event was going to happen, but a quick call to the organizer confirmed that it was a go.

Since it was raining, and I only had my phone, it was just too difficult to take photos as we pedaled along taking in the sights.  However one of the participants took this short video.

The neighborhood was decked out, almost to the degree of Peacock Lane in Portland, but it went on for blocks and blocks.  The entire neighborhood got into the spirit.

At the end of the ride we all stopped at a local coffee shop.  A few of us, me included, opted for the hot chocolate. We even went for the whipped cream and peppermint option!

It was yummy!

  Following that, 3 of us pedaled a bit more and went for Moroccan food.  It was yummy too!  (as was the happy hour pricing on drinks!)

It was a fun night on bikes, and great to see all the moms with kids in tow on cargo bikes!
