A last minute fall back plan

I had posted a Caroling by Bike event several weeks ago that was to happen tonight.  A friend and I led a couple of these last year and had a blast.  Despite the fun we had last year, with 2 hours before the event was to happen I had no folks signed up to join me this time around.  I was pretty sure the residents along the route didn't want to hear me solo, so I cancelled the event........and just went for a ride.

I was very near Portland's 40 mile loop, I had lights, it wasn't raining.

I made the turn and away I went.  It was a nice night for a ride, not the warm summer nights we normally think of when dreaming of evening rides, but for December it was nice.  Not too cold, though a bit chilly and no wind.  I pedaled the familiar loop without incident.

It was a good night on the bike.
