Still repeatedly repeating hill repeats

The cold wet days are coming but tonight was just beautiful. I was leading the Rocky Butte hill repeats ride for my social bike club again tonight. I rode in from Oaks Park again. 4 of us riding Rocky Butte tonight and two of them were first time attendees!


Shannon was on a heavier hybrid but did remarkably well. She got 5 repeats in, and that included the time penalty involved when changing a flat tire!

Following the ride Tom peeled off the back side and headed back home, the rest of us retired to Staniches for post ride carbohydrates and chatter.


It was a gorgeous night for a ride. As I was spinning pedals on the ride back to my pickup I couldn't help but think of the days just around the corner when it will be wet and colder. The new rain bike takes some of the sting off that, but it would still be a shame to not be riding tonight in these nearly perfect conditions.
