When biking is not biking

I am a member of the support crew for Mick Walsh and George Thomas as they compete in the Race Across the West a month from now. It might come to a surprise to some, but there is more to support than handing a water bottle to a person who's riding a bike.  I spent 17 hours of the last 24 hours creating an Excel document to use as pacing.  While it was bike related it didn't leave much time for actually riding a bike.  But one has to eat!

I rode my fixed gear bike to breakfast!

It was not a tough ride, only 0.4 miles so after finishing breakfast taking the scenic way back was in order.
A lap around the top of Queen Anne would have to suffice.

Parts of this hill just north of the Space Needle are quite steep.  I looked over a stone railing to see a staircase that wound it's way down at least 30 ft.

I finished the loop around the top of Queen Anne.

It was now time to get back to work.
