a short morning pedal

I am a support driver for Cascade Bicycle Club's Ride Around Washington. (RAW). The ride began yesterday with the group riding from Chewelah, WA to Spirit Lake, WA.  I had planned on riding everyday, but plans were changed when we found ourselves short handed.  Today I was assigned sweep duties and as such will be the last vehicle out of camp.  I took the opportunity that a late start afforded and went for a short bike ride this morning.  I rode out with some of the group until the first turn, 3.5 miles out, before turning back. The scenery was very similar to the La Pine area of Oregon except we didn't see any large snow capped peaks. It was nice to be out pedaling in the morning air.
