STP (200+ mile Seattle to Portland bike ride) is this weekend. Most of us from the Portland area travel northward to Seattle tomorrow to allow an early start Saturday. That means that today and tonight was spent packing, cleaning bike, lubricating, thinking, rethinking... all the stuff you do before a big adventure. I still lead my Rocky Butte hill repeats ride though. We had a small group, probably because folks are busy with last minute preparations. The weather was warm but our small group rode well.
I had a little fun with the GoPro camera tonight. This is what it looks like to descend Rocky Butte.
I am looking at the likelihood of over 900 miles in the next 8 days. I wonder if I am up to the challenge? Of course, RAAM riders cover over 3 times that mileage in the same amount of time. :-O
