Just confirmed with the tres amigos that we will indeed be entering the 535 mile Race Across Oregon as a 4 man team, 50+. It's the same 3 who joined me for the original birthday ride pictured on my first post here. RAO is in mid July, the weekend after STP. STP is a fully supported ride, RAO is a self supported race. The planning and execution of this ride will be another step in preparing me for the Furnace Creek 508 which is set up very similiar as far as requirements and wants. It will be fun to be back out on the road with the guys. Almost like the adventures back in the college days, except for the fact that we are all OVER 50 YEARS OLD NOW! :-OWhy? Because it's there.
