A (Hagg) Lake Loop

Among my Seattle friends when discussing a "Lake Loop" it usually refers to a lap around Lake Washington.  Around these parts it more than often refers to a lap around Henry Hagg Lake. The lap around Lake Washington is about 50 miles, the Hagg Lake lap is 10, but both have about 1000 ft of climbing.  

I had business to attend to in Forest Grove today, but would have some time.  I brought the fixie.  I drove out to the Lake Stop Store and started from there.

I rode counter clockwise, as I normally do.  Usually it is to avoid a high speed descent past traffic that is supposed to stop, but with descending at speed in mottled shade, and possibly impaired drivers after a day on the lake, may not.  Today it was also to avoid a long descent on the fixed gear.  Up hills can be hard on a fixed gear bike, but down hills is worse!

The lake is low, as is to be expected this year. There were a few light clouds, but the weather was near perfect.

 With  my start at the Lake Stop Store and subsequent "commute" to and from the lake, I ended up with just under 16 miles.
