Living the "Car Free" lifestyle

On my most recent trip back from Seattle a situation evolved where I now find myself without a vehicle, ........temporarily.  Today I adjusted to that reality by riding the fixed gear bike to the hardware store, and then back into town again later for lunch.  I've developed plans for a meeting 35 miles away next week, a trip back to Seattle, and a trip to the airport for a flight to Reno to crew the Silver State 508.  It's not at all as bad as it might seem.  I might even get back into bike shape by the time it's all over!   :-)
