I haven't been on a bike in a long, long time. Getting run over by a big truck and seeing the front bumper go over me and the front tire rolling to a stop less than 18" from my head does a number on my comfort level. My full calendar of bike race support suddenly evaporated leaving me pretty much living a non cycling life.
That might be about to change.
I will be leaving for Texas in two days to help UK racer, Rus Kesley, compete in the 1000 mile No Country for Old Men bike race, and at the end of the month I will be in Borrego Springs helping Lisa Bliss as she challenges the 6/12/24 hr World Championship Time Trails. I've never met anyone on the Rus Kelsey team, but know Lisa well, and have crewed for her before.
And, I'll be back on a bike again. After all summer and fall of hardly riding, (only biked 440 miles since last November!), I'll be leading the #ridingeverydayinNovember challenge again. It really is a lot of fun and we have folks from New Zealand to Sweden participating. You can JOIN US too!
